CNC machines are controlled by a computer and produce a scale of efficiency, consistency and accuracy not possible manually.Acting on a specific lead, officials at Nhava Sheva stopped the consignment of Shanghai JXE Global Logistics Co Ltd, the people said, adding that the consigner was mentioned as Shanghai JXE Global Logistics Co Ltd while the consignee was Pakistan Wings Pvt Ltd of Sialkot, said the people."The ship was requested to berth while the officials scrutinised the documents, which revealed that the consignment was meant for Cosmos Engineering in Pakistan. The firm is a defence supplier for Pakistan which has been on the watchlist since March 12, 2022, when Indian authorities intercepted a shipment of Italian-made thermoelectric instruments, once again at the Nhava Sheva port," said an official, who did not wish to be identified."The DRI will now investigate if the dual use consignment from the Shanghai JXE Global Logistics Co Ltd meant for the Pakistan military defence and research and development unit Defence Science and Technology Organisation was shipped under false declaration to Pakistan Wings Pvt Ltd, Sialkot," said another official.The customs department subsequently requested the Defence Research and Development Organisation to inspect the consignment.A team certified that it could be used by Pakistan for its nuclear programme.A senior customs official told ET that the ship was stopped as per the law as it had faulty paper work and the material was seized as per procedure.It could not be confirmed, however, whether the if the ship and the equipment were released.A senior defence official said the Indian Navy wasn't involved in the incident.India is among the 42 member countries that exchange information on transfer of conventional weapons and dual-use goods and technologies.North Korea used CNC machines in its nuclear programme, according to people in the know.

"Let's all come together [...] and the National Assembly should pass a resolution for the freedom of Kashmiris and Palestinians," he added.He also thanked his allies in the coalition government for putting their trust in him and making him Leader of the House."When my Quaid (leader Nawaz) was elected the prime minister thrice, the development that followed in the country is an example of its own. And it is not wrong to say that Nawaz Sharif is the one who built Pakistan," Shehbaz said in his victory speech.The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president thanked his elder brother Nawaz and all the allies for putting their trust in him and making him Leader of the House.Shehbaz, who was the consensus candidate of the PML-N and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), received 201 votes in the 336-member house.Shehbaz's challenger Omar Ayub Khan of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secured 92 votes.Shehbaz said that the country was facing challenges primarily due to the fragile economy. He also mentioned that state-owned entities like Pakistan International Airlines were running into losses worth billions of rupees.He promised to put the country on the path of development and announced to overcome all hurdles. "Though it is easier said than done, we will fulfill our task," he said.Shehbaz said that the government was determined to bring the country out of the current crisis. "I don't want to set any deadline but due to various steps we will take, the positive results will start pouring in after a year," he said.He promised to bring investment into the country and create economic conditions that would spur economic growth. He also vowed to spread the web of "one window" export zones in all four provinces and work day and night to fulfil all these promises.The newly-elected premier vowed to make Pakistan "self-sufficient". "We will rise and we will make Pakistan self-sufficient," said Shehbaz."There are talented people sitting in this Parliament who can steer Pakistan's ship to the shore [...] these include journalists, intellectuals, politicians, religious leaders," he said.Shehbaz said Pakistan had a big challenge and opportunity before it. "This is the difference between this leadership and that leadership; the entire assembly is witness to the fact that we never thought of the politics of revenge," he said.Shehbaz also said that those responsible for the May 9 incident would not be spared while saying that all innocent people implicated in various cases would be spared.Opposition PTI lawmakers kept on shouting slogans during the speech by the prime minister who, undeterred by the rowdyism continued his address and made a long speech on the occasion. He asked the opponents to seek recourse to the national institutions to get the complaints about rigging redressed.Shehbaz also questioned why Imran Khan wrote a letter to the International Monetary Fund which he said was tantamount to inviting foreign intervention in the affairs of the country. He offered reconciliation to the opposition and invited them to also cooperate to address the economic issues.He will be administered the oath of office on Monday at the Presidential mansion, Aiwan-e-Sadr.Shehbaz earlier served as prime minister of a coalition government from April 2022 to August 2023 before Parliament was dissolved to hold general elections.

The commissioning of the helicopters in the INAS 334 squadron is expected to significantly enhance the Navy's operational capability in the Indian Ocean region which has been witnessing increasing Chinese military forays.The US-manufactured MH 60R Seahawk is a maritime variant of the Blackhawk helicopter.The helicopter is designed for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, search and rescue and medical evacuation among other operations."The advanced weapons, sensors and avionics suite make the Seahawks ideal for the Indian Navy's maritime security needs, offering enhanced capabilities for both conventional as well as asymmetric threats," the Navy said on Sunday.The Seahawks squadron will be commissioned in the Indian Navy as INAS 334.India signed an agreement with the US for procurement of 24-MH 60Rs in February 2020 under the framework of foreign military sales."The Seahawk's deployment in the Indian Ocean Region would strengthen the Indian Navy's maritime presence, dissuading potential threats and ensuring a secure and safe environment in this strategically crucial region," the Navy said."The commissioning of the Seahawks underscores the Indian Navy's steadfast dedication to fortifying maritime security, aligning seamlessly with the Government of India's visionary goal of ensuring security and growth for all in the region," it said.The Navy said induction of the choppers is set to witness a significant surge in its maritime prowess."The helicopter has been rigorously tested in Indian Reference Atmosphere (IRA) conditions and is fully integrated into the fleet," it said in a statement."The MH 60R helicopter would enhance India's blue-water capabilities, extending the operational reach of the Navy and supporting sustained naval operations across spectrums and over vast maritime domains," it said.
