Teledyne Marine Expands AUV Service Capabilities with New Center in Poland

Defense News ,Poland :- Teledyne Marine has unveiled plans for a groundbreaking Service Center dedicated to Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) in Poland, solidifying its commitment to delivering exceptional support across Poland and mainland Europe. Established in collaboration with Enamor Ltd, a Gdynia-based research and production company specializing in cutting-edge technology projects, the center aims to enhance the operational readiness and efficiency of Teledyne Gavia AUVs in the region.

Enamor Ltd, recognized for its focus on navigation, communication, hydrography, and automation, has been in partnership with Teledyne Gavia for over a decade. The collaboration began with the delivery of Gavia AUVs to the Polish Navy EOD divers in 2012 and has since expanded to include subsequent deliveries, including those for the Kormoran class MCMVs.

During the first half of 2023, Enamor engineers and technicians underwent intensive training at Teledyne Gavia to conduct AUV maintenance routines in Poland. This milestone led to Enamor being officially appointed as a regional Service Center for AUVs in Europe, a testament to their unwavering commitment to providing top-notch service and support.

The development underscores Teledyne dedication to ensuring the operational readiness and efficiency of AUVs in Europe. Teledyne Gavia AUVs are renowned for their low logistics modular design, enabling rapid transportation and maintenance. This versatility allows the AUVs to be configured for diverse missions, including mine countermeasures, search and salvage operations, hydrographic surveys, and critical underwater infrastructure inspections.

Maciej Rek, CEO of Enamor, expressed enthusiasm about the continued collaboration, stating, "Teledyne Gavia and Enamor have a strong and successful working relationship that spans over a decade. With Teledyne Gavia continued support and innovation, as well as Enamor commitment to quality service and support provided to the Polish MOD, the Polish MOD will be using Gavia AUVs for years to come."

Stefan Reynisson, Vice President & General Manager of Teledyne Gavia, highlighted the significance of the Service Center, stating, "We are excited about this continued collaboration with Enamor and look forward to providing excellent service and support to AUV operators in Europe. The opening of this Service Center is a significant milestone in our efforts to meet the diverse needs of our customers and further strengthen our presence in the region."

Teledyne Gavia offers turnkey survey solutions for military, commercial, and scientific applications. The Gavia AUVs ability to carry various sensors and custom payload modules makes it ideal for research, monitoring, or surveillance tasks where autonomy, cost, and ease of deployment are crucial. The modular design allows for rapid sensor reconfiguration and battery replacement. Teledyne Gavia manufacturing facility, situated in Kópavogur, Iceland, comprises a 1,500-square-meter building with research, engineering, production, and sea trial facilities on Iceland North Atlantic coast.
