Ukrainian defense forces have achieved a significant victory by intercepting and destroying Russian armored convoys en route to the town of Chasiv Yar. Reports from the 67th Brigade’s press center indicate that approximately 20 enemy combat vehicles were rendered inoperable, thwarting the occupiers' attempts to establish a presence in the area.

The operation, which took place on the Bahmutsky direction, effectively repelled Russian assaults near Chasiv Yar, as stated in the brigade's publication.

This success follows earlier reports in April of failed attacks by Russian forces on the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar. Despite Russian attempts to secure various structures, Ukrainian military personnel managed to remove them from the area.

Chasiv Yar has been identified by Ukrainian officials as facing one of the most challenging situations since the onset of the full-scale invasion. The town continues to endure daily bombardment by Russian artillery and aviation, with only brief periods of respite.
