US and Europen Parts Found in North Korean Missile Used in Ukraine
Defense News ,Ukraine War :- A group that tracks weapons, called Conflict Armament Research (CAR), shared news on Tuesday that parts from companies in the United States and Europe were found in a North Korean missile discovered in Ukraine.
The report from CAR shows that North Korea is getting parts for its weapons from Western countries, even though there are strict rules against this. These weapons are being used by Russia in its fight against Ukraine.
CAR's team found out that the missile from North Korea, which was found in Ukraine, had over 290 parts made outside of North Korea. They shared this information on Twitter.
They found that 75% of these parts came from companies in the United States, and 16% from companies in Europe.
CAR also noted that half of the parts had dates showing when they were made, and most of these dates were between 2021 and 2023. This means the missile was put together not before March 2023.
The White House had said earlier in January that North Korea gave Russia missiles and equipment to launch them, which were then used to attack Ukraine.
CAR mentioned that the missile they looked into was found in a place called Kharkiv in Ukraine on January 2, 2024.
