US Receive BAE Systems' Advanced Radar Warning Receivers For C-130Js
In a significant boost to the US Air Force's operational capabilities, BAE Systems has secured $133 million in contracts to equip the C-130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft with advanced radar warning receivers (RWR). This initiative underscores the continued evolution of electronic warfare technology in enhancing aircraft survivability and situational awareness.
The contract centers on the delivery of BAE Systems' AN/ALR-56M Advanced RWR. This sophisticated system has a proven track record, having been deployed in the C-130J fleet and F-16 Fighting Falcon jets for over three decades. In 2022, BAE Systems completed the design and evaluation of components for the Pentagon's first EC-37B Compass Call electronic warfare aircraft.
