Defense News ,UAE :- The EDGE Group of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has formalized a memorandum of understanding with Turkish Aerospace, marking a strategic partnership aimed at integrating advanced payloads and sensors into their respective airborne capabilities. The collaboration focuses on implementing intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) technologies for upcoming aerospace initiatives, emphasizing technology transfer, integration, and manufacturing.
While the agreement does not specify particular projects from Turkish Aerospace, the understanding underscores the commitment of both companies to fostering defense advancements and strengthening their bilateral relationship.
Khaled Al Zaabi, President of EDGE Group Platforms & Systems, highlighted the significance of the memorandum in advancing defense capabilities and enhancing ties with Turkey. "Our agreement to collaborate with Turkish Aerospace as the partner of choice for advanced airborne projects strengthens our continued cooperation with Türkiye’s defense industry ecosystem," he stated.
This collaboration is part of EDGE's broader engagement with Turkey in various military projects, with a primary focus on promoting cutting-edge technologies and fostering deeper defense cooperation.
