Small Army aircraft lands on field in Gaya ,Bihar After Malfunction, Pilots Injured
Defense News ,India :- In a recent incident, two trainee pilots sustained minor injuries when a microlight aircraft belonging to the Indian Army's Officers' Training Academy (OTA) made an emergency landing in Bihar's Gaya district. The incident occurred in Bagdaha village's Paharpur, located in the Bodh Gaya sub-division, around 9.15 am on a Tuesday morning, shortly after the aircraft had taken off.
According to officials, the mishap took place during a routine training session when the aircraft encountered a malfunction, resulting in a significant noise. The pilots skillfully managed to make an emergency landing in a field to avert a more serious situation.
A police officer stated, "Two trainee pilots were on board during the training session, and they sustained minor injuries as a result of the emergency landing."
Fortunately, the quick response of villagers played a crucial role in rescuing the pilots. The locals promptly informed both the police and the OTA about the incident, enabling a swift response to the situation. The injured pilots were subsequently transported to the base camp for necessary medical treatment.
Fortunately, there were no reports of damage to civilian property as a result of the emergency landing. The incident highlights the importance of quick and coordinated efforts in handling unexpected situations during training exercises.
