Royal Danish Navy Chooses NSM – Naval Strike Missile
In a significant move to bolster its maritime defense capabilities, the Royal Danish Navy has opted to integrate the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) into its arsenal. This decision comes as a direct response to the donation of Denmark's existing Harpoon missiles to Ukraine, necessitating a modern replacement to maintain the nation's naval deterrence.

The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), known locally as FMI, is spearheading this acquisition. The planned government-to-government contract with Norway, valued between DKK 900 million and DKK 1.5 billion, underscores Denmark's commitment to enhancing its naval strike proficiency.
