Recent Drone Attacks Hit Russian Oil Facilities and Borders, Causing Fires and Injuries

Defense ews Ukraine Russia War :-  A series of drone strikes hit Russia's oil refineries and border areas for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The attacks resulted in a fire and injuries in the Ryazan region, located about 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow, officials reported.


During the night, dozens of drones were launched, most of which were successfully intercepted, causing some damage but no casualties in the Ukrainian border regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh, according to regional governors.


One drone crashed into an oil refinery in the Ryazan region, causing injuries and igniting a fire. Ryazan regional governor Pavel Malkov shared the information on Telegram, stating that rescue services were on the scene.


In the Leningrad region near Saint Petersburg, a drone targeting another oil refinery was shot down, with no damage or victims reported, according to regional governor Alexander Drozdenko.


Over 30 drones were intercepted in the Voronezh region, resulting in light damage, as reported by regional governor Alexander Gussev on Telegram.


In the Belgorod region, six drones were shot down, causing damage to electrical lines and power outages, according to governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on Telegram.


Eight drones were intercepted in the Bryansk region, with no reported damage, and four were destroyed in the Kursk region without causing any harm, as communicated by the governors of those regions on Telegram.


On the previous day, Ukraine launched significant drone strikes on Russia, targeting two major energy sites, including one of the largest oil refineries located about 800 kilometers from the border. The strikes resulted in the destruction of a major oil refinery near Nizhny Novgorod and a drone crashing into a fuel depot in Oryol, around 160 kilometers from the border, causing a fire, as reported by regional governors.
