The company is displaying its renowned COBRA II 4x4 tactical wheeled armored vehicle and the ARMA 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle.

Global Presence and Commitment

Aykut Özüner, General Manager of Otokar, highlighted the company's extensive global reach. "Otokar is proud to serve as a NATO and UN supplier, with our vehicles operating in various climates and terrains worldwide. Our wide product range and comprehensive logistics services have made us a trusted name in global markets for many years," said Özüner. Otokar's military vehicles are used in over 40 countries across Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, the Americas, Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

Strategic Focus on Romania

Özüner emphasized the strategic importance of Romania for Otokar, noting the country's investment opportunities, strategic location, and skilled workforce. "BSDA allows us to connect with current and potential customers in the region. Romania is a key market for us, and we are eager to support the Romanian Armed Forces," he stated. Otokar has submitted a bid for a tender by C.N. Romtehnica S.A., the Romanian Ministry of National Defence’s company, for the purchase of 4x4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles.

Sedef Vehbi, Otokar Military Cluster Head, added, "We have been focusing on Romania and its defense acquisition projects for a long time. Together with our local partner, Automecanica, we have developed a comprehensive business plan to meet the Romanian MoD's requirements. If awarded, we plan to use our facility in Romania as a strategic hub for European operations, including local production, research and development, and collaboration with Romanian suppliers."

COBRA II and ARMA 8x8 Vehicles

The COBRA II, displayed at BSDA, is a combat-proven armored vehicle used by over 20 military forces worldwide. It offers high protection against ballistic, mine, and IED threats, with superior mobility and payload capacity. The modular design of COBRA II allows it to be used for various missions, including border protection, internal security, and peacekeeping. It can be configured as a personnel carrier, anti-tank platform, reconnaissance vehicle, command control vehicle, and more.

The ARMA 8x8 is another highlight of Otokar's exhibition. This modular platform has amphibious capabilities and meets the survivability, protection, and mobility needs of modern armies. The ARMA 8x8 features a high mission payload capacity, spacious interior, and low silhouette. Its armored monocoque body provides high ballistic and mine protection, making it suitable for a variety of missions such as infantry fighting, command and control, air defense, engineering, ambulance, recovery, and support.
