Israel Aerospace Industries Unveils Compact ADA System to Counter GNSS Jamming

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) introduces Compact ADA, a system designed to protect avionic systems from GNSS jamming, ensuring reliable Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) in contested environments.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has launched the Compact ADA system, a groundbreaking solution designed to combat GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) jamming. This advanced system ensures reliable Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) by overcoming interference, a significant threat in modern electronic warfare. GNSS jamming has been notably problematic in regions like Ukraine and northern Israel, where adversaries deploy armed UAVs and cruise missiles to disrupt GPS signals.

The Compact ADA system offers a reduced Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) profile, making it ideal for tactical air platforms. This new system is derived from IAI's ADA product line, which has a proven track record of providing GNSS Anti-Jam solutions for over 20 years. The ADA systems are known for their compatibility with various satellite navigation systems and their ability to maintain GNSS signal integrity even in highly contested environments.

Jacob Galifat, General Manager of IAI’s MALAM Division, emphasized the importance of such systems, stating, "With the threats that GNSS faces today, these systems are essential for any platform relying on GPS or other Global Satellite Navigation Systems. Our operationally proven systems ensure the availability of GPS and GNSS-based systems, even in the most contested, electronic warfare-saturated battle spaces."

The Compact ADA system utilizes advanced digital signal processing algorithms and multiple mitigation methods to counteract jamming. Its versatility allows integration into a wide range of platforms, including manned and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), surface vessels, and guided munitions. This adaptability and proven effectiveness make Compact ADA an attractive option for air forces and armies worldwide, especially those operating in combat zones where GNSS jamming is prevalent.

IAI's extensive experience and innovative technology position the Compact ADA system as a critical asset in modern warfare, ensuring continuous and reliable navigation capabilities for tactical platforms. As GNSS jamming becomes increasingly sophisticated, solutions like Compact ADA will be essential for maintaining operational effectiveness and strategic advantage.
