Indra to Develop H225M Simulator for the Republic of Singapore Air Force

Defense News ,Singapore :- Indra, a global leader in simulation technology, has recently secured a contract to develop and produce an advanced helicopter simulator for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). The simulator, known as EASA Level D qualifiable H225M FMS, is designed to provide comprehensive training for RSAF pilots in various scenarios. The contract also includes post-delivery support, technical assistance, and options for future expansion.

This cutting-edge simulator is equipped with motion and vibration platforms to create a realistic training environment. It allows pilots to practice both normal and emergency helicopter procedures, with a focus on various missions like search and rescue, aeromedical evacuation, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

A key feature of Indra's simulator is its Ro-Ro capability, enabling the interchange of potential future helicopter cockpits within a single simulator. This innovative design optimizes the use of the system, providing flexibility for different training needs.

Safety is a top priority during training, and the simulator replicates realistic operational scenarios and complex maneuvers. It supports simulations for day and night operations, as well as challenging environmental conditions, ensuring pilots are well-prepared for any situation they may encounter.

To enhance training effectiveness, the simulator incorporates advanced analytics capabilities using biometric sensors. This allows instructors to evaluate pilots more accurately and provides valuable insights during debriefing sessions.

Indra's success in securing this contract further solidifies its position as a global leader in simulator manufacturing. With a track record of delivering over 200 simulators to more than 50 customers in over 20 countries, Indra is recognized for its international leadership in simulation technology.

The company has been at the forefront of integrating virtual reality, augmented reality, and new digital technologies into simulation. Indra has extensive experience in developing mission simulators for a wide range of aircraft, including military planes like the Eurofighter and Airbus A330 MRTT, as well as civil aircraft like the Airbus A330, A320, Boeing 737, and ATR 72.

Moreover, Indra stands out as a key player in helicopter simulation, having developed simulators for various models such as NH90, Tigre, Cougar, Chinook, Blackhawk, Seahawk, AW159 Wildcat, MH53, C135, H135, H225, H175, AS350, H145, EC145, Bell212, Bell412, and Sikorsky S76 civilian models.
