IAF's C-17 Aircraft Executes Precise Airdrop, Assists Indian Navy in Ongoing Anti-Piracy Mission in Arabian Sea

The Indian Air Force used a special aircraft called C-17 to drop two boats into the sea. These boats were equipped for combat and were carrying Indian Navy MARCOS (Marine Commandos). It was all part of a big plan called 'Operation Sankalp' to fight piracy.
The Indian Air Force was proud of this operation. They mentioned on a platform called X that it showed great teamwork between different branches of the military. The operation covered a long distance, almost 2600 kilometers off the Indian coast. It took about 10 hours for the aircraft to reach there.
The mission was a success. All 17 crew members of MV Ruen were safely rescued with the help of the Indian Navy. The pirates who had hijacked the ship were also dealt with. They were forced to give up, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
The Indian Navy played a crucial role in stopping the pirates and rescuing the crew. One of their ships, INS Kolkata, was on duty in the Arabian Sea. They had been actively working to prevent pirate attacks on ships passing through the region.
