DRDO Chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat Receives One-Year Extension

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has announced an extension of one year for Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Dr. Kamat will continue to serve in his current role until May 31, 2025. This decision was officially communicated through an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Dr. Samir Kamat, who also serves as Secretary of the Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D), has been instrumental in advancing India's defense research capabilities.
