HENSOLDT supplies six TRML-4D radars to Ukraine for air defense, valued at over 100 million euros, ensuring rapid detection of various aerial threats within a 250-kilometer radius.

HENSOLDT, a leading sensor specialist, is set to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities with the delivery of six advanced TRML-4D radars. These radar systems, valued at over 100 million euros, are slated for delivery later this year. This procurement marks a significant milestone as HENSOLDT now has contracts for more than 50 of these cutting-edge air defense radars worldwide.

Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT, emphasized the critical need for these radars in Ukraine's air defense strategy. He expressed pride in the company's ability to fulfill the order promptly, highlighting the essential role these systems play in safeguarding citizens.

The TRML-4D radar employs state-of-the-art AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) technology, enabling rapid detection and tracking of up to 1,500 targets within a 250-kilometer radius. Its capabilities extend to identifying various aerial threats, including cruise missiles, drones, airplanes, and helicopters, with speed and accuracy.

With decades of expertise in radar systems for air defense, HENSOLDT is at the forefront of advancing key technologies in this domain. Alongside the TRML-4D, the company's product lineup includes the SPEXER short-range radar and the Twinvis passive radar, catering to diverse defense needs. Notably, both the TRML-4D and SPEXER are integral components of Germany's NNbS air defense system, enhancing close and short-range protection capabilities.

Moreover, HENSOLDT's contributions extend beyond land-based defense systems, with the provision of radars for maritime applications, such as securing ship and air traffic. The company's track record includes supplying radars for the German Navy's frigates and corvettes, as well as supporting airspace surveillance and approach control at Bundeswehr airfields.
